‘Modernisation of Vocational Education and Training Infrastructure in Ukraine’ Project (component 3 of ‘EU4Skills’ Program)

Territory of implementation: Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolayiv, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Lviv, Chernivtsi regions.
Objective of the Project:
to create a modern vocational education and training infrastructure that increases the attractiveness of vocational education and training among students and creates a basis for effective education, focusing on skills in occupations that are in demand on the Ukrainian labour market.
About 15 VET schools in total shall be modernized under the project.
2 VET schools were put on the waiting list by the decision of KfW and MoES.
Trilateral memorandums on cooperation between USIF, 15 VET schools and regional state administrations have been signed.
Within 8 subprojects, design and cost estimate documentation has been developed, positive expert conclusions have been obtained and bidding documents have been prepared and submitted to KfW for consideration and approval.
Bidding documents on procurement of construction works for 2 VET schools have been approved by KfW. Tenders have been launched. The procurement process is in progress.
Implementation of 2 subprojects in Zaporizhzhia region under the Project was suspended due to the military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine.
Procurement of machinery and equipment is envisaged for the remaining 5 subprojects.
A contract for the supply of agricultural machinery for the needs of 4 VET schools of Chernivtsi, Poltava, and Mykolaiv regions has been signed.
A contract was signed for the supply of specialized construction equipment (including road equipment) for the needs of a VET school of Rivne region.
Sewing equipment for Chernivtsi VET school has been procured and delivered to the institution.
The bidding documents for procurement of equipment for renovated workshops of Kremenchuk VET school have been approved by KfW.
Furniture, electrical goods, textiles and workshop materials have been delivered to 11 VET schools under 14 signed contracts for the supply of goods within implementation of the emergency package for IDPs and procurement of workshop materials.
Public consultation of environmental, social, health and safety (ESHS) documents within the Project
USIF invites all stakeholders to express their proposals for the Stakeholder Engagement Plan for EU4Skills Project, which serves as a basis for planning and implementing activities to involve stakeholders during the implementation of subprojects.
